NEPHwork is the trainee-led audit and research collaborative arm of the UK Kidney Association. We design and deliver UK-wide multicentre projects with the support of the UKKA & UK Renal Registry utilising the trainee-led collaborative research model; this model has yielded high-impact outputs across a breadth of specialties (e.g. STARSurg in General Surgery, BURST in Urology) and we are successfully emulating this in Nephrology.  

This year NEPHwork is hosting its first ever session at UK Kidney Week in the format of an exciting Dragons’ Den-style event. We are inviting the UK renal community to submit proposals for the next NEPHwork project.

If you have a project idea which could be of interest to renal registrars across the country and is deliverable on a national scale, submit your concept here by 14th April 2025. We will shortlist the best three ideas to deliver a short presentation at UKKW followed by questions from our very own panel of (friendly) Nephrology Dragons. The winning submission will be taken forward as the next NEPHwork project!
